About Us — Desire and Sleep

At Desire and Sleep, we believe rest is essential. Quiet, considered, and deeply personal.

Founded in the Netherlands, the brand grew from lived experience. Raised in a fashion family in Amsterdam, our founder was immersed early in the world behind major fashion presentations. Years ago, the family was involved in the organisation and production surrounding international runway shows held during Paris Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, with presentations taking place at locations such as the Palais de Tokyo and historic venues in Milan’s fashion district.

That environment—defined by precision, timing, materials and atmosphere—shaped an instinctive understanding of how design should feel, not just look.

Later came a personal challenge: persistent sleep problems. Long nights and a restless mind revealed how deeply rest influences daily life. Rather than separating these worlds, fashion and sleep began to inform one another.

What started as a search for better rest evolved into a brand shaped by design, material sensibility and quiet refinement—bringing the language of fashion into the night.
